Saturday 23 August – Tournament Day
From 10am to around 5pm, we'll be running two doubles tournaments:
Tournament One
- Mixed or gender – it’s up to you!
- Two playing categories: <3.4 or 3.4+
- Round robin group play, followed by knockout rounds (including quarters, semis and finals).
- Plate competition for those who exit early.
- Guaranteed 8 games per pair.
- Games to 15 or 21, using rally scoring.
Tournament Two
A team competition using a dream-maker format, with four predetermined teams playing three matches.
🏆 Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both doubles categories.
Sunday 24 August – Festival
This is a relaxed, friendly festival-style session running from 10am to 4pm:
- Play as much or as little as you like!
- Matches to 11 points or 12 minutes, whichever comes first.
- Great for those wanting to sharpen their match play in an informal environment.
- Play with people of a similar level from different clubs.
🌟 Coaching, a Pop-Up Shop, and fun activities will be happening throughout the day.
ABOUT THE VENUE
This years festival will be held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, City Road, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2RR.
Fenton Manor Sports Complex offers:
- 10 indoor courts
- Fully accessible facilities
- On-site café
- Ample car parking (charges apply)
It’s centrally located in Stoke-on-Trent with excellent road, rail and bus links.

Conditions of Entry
One entry per player.
Players enter at their own risk. The organisers - Pickleball People - will not be held responsible for any personal losses or injury.
By registering for this event, you consent to photographs and videos being taken and used by Pickleball People and the brands that they sell. These may be used for, but not limited to, social media threads and/or communications. See below.
Players aged 17 years or under, must be accompanied by a responsible adult, parent or guardian.
Registration will close at 11pm on Friday 8 August or before if capacity is reached. Entries received after capacity is reached and before registration closes will be added to a waiting list.
Withdrawals requested:
-
- Before Friday 11 July – players will be entitled to a full refund, minus an administrative fee of £5 (i.e. £25 or £45).
- From Saturday 12 July to Saturday 2 August – players will be entitled to a 50% refund, which includes an administrative fee of £5 (i.e. £15 or £25).
- From Sunday 3 August – players will not be entitled to a refund, and their place will be allocated to the next person on the waiting list.
These charges apply irrelevant of whether there is a waiting list.
At the time of the withdrawal:
- If there is a waiting list, the player is NOT able to transfer their entry and their place will be re-allocated to the next person on the waiting list.
- If there isn’t a waiting list, the player CAN transfer their entry. The recipient will need to complete a booking form and pay a £5 administration fee within 3 working days, otherwise the place will be released for general sale.
On both days, player check-in will open at 9:30am.
Players can warm up from 9:30am.
A player briefing will be given at 9:45am. It is a players’ responsibility to attend the briefing.
With the exception of water and energy drink/food, food and drink must not be consumed on the courts.
The ball for the event will be an indoor Pickleball People branded ball. Several colours will be available and it will be the players’ responsibility to choose the colour of the ball before their game starts. Once started, the ball colour cannot be changed.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and/or alter the program where necessary at any time. In all matters, their decision shall be final.
By registering for this event, players agree to the following:
RELEASE, PERMISSION, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT Waiver. In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in the Potteries Pickleball Weekend (“the Weekend”), I, for myself, my heirs or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue participating players, spectators or the organisers, its/their officers, employees and agents from liability from any, and all claims, resulting in personal injuries, accidents or illnesses (including death) and property loss arising from my participation in the Weekend.
Assumption of Risk. Participation in the Weekend carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated, regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary, but include:
1) minor injuries such as bruises, sprains and dehydration
2) major injuries such as eye injuries, joint, bone or back injuries, heat stroke, heart attacks, and concussions
3) catastrophic injuries such as paralysis and death.
I have read the previous paragraphs, conditions of entry and I know, understand and appreciate these, and other risks that are inherent in playing pickleball. I assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks. I also agree to indemnify and hold Pickleball People / the Weekend harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including solicitor fees brought as a result of my involvement in the Weekend.
I give Pickleball People and its agents and designees, permission to use or distribute, without limitation or obligation, my image, name, voice, and words for any purpose connected with the Weekend and other general Pickleball People marketing, including promotional, marketing, training, informational, and archival uses.
Registration confirms acceptance of the conditions of entry, i.e. you are agreeing with the release, permission and indemnity agreement as shown above.
