THE POTTERIES PICKLEBALL FESTIVAL | Stoke-on-Trent | Saturday 21 October 2023

This one-day festival is being held at Stoke-on-Trent’s premier leisure facility - Fenton Manor Sports Complex, City Road, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2RR.

Participants will have the opportunity to play as much or as little as they want, from 10am to 4pm, with exclusive use of 12 badminton courts (using lowered badminton nets). The cost of playing at the festival is £30 per person.

The festival is open to players of all levels, especially club players who want to practise their ‘match play’ in an informal, fun environment, playing with, and against, people from different clubs. Festivals are a great way to practice match play because unlike tournaments, scores are not recorded and ratings are unaffected.

On the day, players will place their names on a court board, either as individuals, pairs or fours, and play in fun, competitive (or not) games to 11. This event is primarily for doubles play, although singles play may take place if courts are available.

Non-players are welcome to attend free of charge and there is a viewing balcony overlooking the courts.

Fenton Manor is fully accessible and has an on-site café.

Stoke-on-Trent is centrally located, with excellent road and rail links. There are frequent bus services to Fenton Manor from Stoke Bus and Rail Stations, and Newcastle Bus Station. There is also ample car parking at Fenton Manor but charges apply.

Pickleball People are running the festival. They will take their pop-up shop, selling paddles from leading brands, together with balls, nets, bags, clothing, etc. They will also take over 70 demo paddles for you to try.

Giveaways and prize draws will be available throughout the day!
